On Saturday 01-30-10, Members of the Cass County Sheriff's Office Joined with other agencies from all over the metro area for the 6th
annual Polar Plunge to benefit Special Olympics.
Sergeant Claibourn, Corporal Becker-Schutte Corporal Snooks, Deputy Benezette, Deputy Rodriguez, and Deputy Gray joined with Correctional Officer
Claibourn from the Bates County Sheriff's Office in diving this year.
Special Olympics Missouri is a year-round program of sports training and athletic competition for children and adults
with mental disabilities. More than 15,000 athletes participate in 19 Olympic-type sports throughout the state.
Special Olympics provides people with mental disabilities continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness,
demonstrate courage, and experience joy as they participate in the sharing of gifts and friendship with their
fellow athletes, their family and friends, and communities across Missouri.
