On Friday April the 18th, Cadets of the Public Safety Institute joined Deputies and Officers from
the metro area in a Memorial Run for fallen Cass County Deputy Kevin Mayse. The participants started at
the old Cass County Courthouse and ran to the Justice Center where a plaque was provided to the family of
our fallen Deputy. The participants then ran back (through the rain) to the old Court House. The Cass
County Sheriff’s Office would like to send our thanks to the Public Safety Institute, the Deputies and
Officers that participated, everyone that assisted in arranging the run, and most of all; the family of
Deputy Kevin Mayse.
