On Monday November 27, 2006 around 2:00 p.m. the Cass County Sheriff's Office received a 9-1-1 call of a burglary in progress in the 35000 block of S. Dorsett Hill Rd near Archie Missouri. Deputies arrived on scene and located two male subjects. Both subjects are in custody and were transported to the Cass County Sheriff's Office for questioning.

Deputies located numerous items including an ATV, 2 motorcycles, power tools, checks, and a large amount of copper wire. The suspects’ vehicle was also confirmed as a stolen truck from Clay County during a burglary where numerous guns were taken.

Cass County Sheriff Deputies received a total of 7 reported burglaries on Monday. Four burglaries have already been connected to the subjects taken into custody.

The subjects are also suspects in Clay and Jackson Counties in Missouri and Olathe, Overland Park, and Wyandotte County Kansas. Theses subject are believed to be involved in construction site thefts as well as vehicle and copper thefts throughout the metro area.

The case will be presented to the Cass County Prosecutor’s Office this afternoon.
