At this time the Cass County Sheriff's Office has concluded is search for evidence at the rural Drexel home of Michael Shaver. Investigators finished their search this morning and have released the scene.

Currently we are waiting for test results of evidence sent to Dr. Michael Finnegan at Kansas State University. It’s expected to take a couple of weeks for conclusive test to be performed.

At this time the total number of bone fragments collected is not available. Due to the ongoing investigation no total for the overall amount of evidence collected from the scene can be released.

Detectives from the Cass County Sheriff's Office are currently following up on leads and missing person’s cases that have come in throughout the investigation. To date that number stands at over 60.
