Disaster Emergency Response Training

In the early hours of Saturday, April 9th, 2016, members of the Cass County Sheriff's Office conducted several training exercises at the Harrisonville Park. The Disaster Team was sent on several simulated events to locate and extract lost and/or injured children on the parks trails.

Members locate the children actors in a ravine just off of the trail.

After a medical assessment, the children actors were loaded to ATV’s and transported to safety.

On a separate training incident, team members were required to medical assess the two children actors they found hidden deep in the woods.

On the final training situation, members had to extract two children from a very steep ravine.
